I Love making Art.

It's where I find myself and where I can be free...I owe so much to Art.

I've been working as an artist for the last twenty years: as a painter, writer, and musician and more recently as a lecturer. I have my own studio where I work and try to exhibit on a yearly basis. What's really great about working in a studio is that all it involves is a canvas and some paints and a bit of passion. It doesn't involve anything else.

I want the freedom to visualise my ideas and projects and do the best that I can in this World

I studied at Dartington College of Arts which is probably one of the best Colleges in the World, now sadly relocated to Falmouth. It was an absolute privilege to have the opportunity to study in one of the most unique, creative, and special colleges of art with such a long rich history. I hope one day that the college will reopen in its original grounds and give future artists this unique and amazing experience, 'an Island of creativity'.

Art tutorials

I love teaching art. I feel it's my duty to pass on the inspiration and passion that all of my art teachers and lecturers gave to me.

My TV personality

Its funny I never really set out to do TV, it just kinda happened.

The first time was because I'd spent such a long time working in my studio, I got cabin fever and forgot how to communicate with people. I seriously spent 12hrs a day painting for over a year. I was watching Blind Date and went "Wow, I could do that, and I'd do it better and win". They were advertising so I applied and I did it better and won!

Just prior to Come Dine With Me, I pretty much had hit a wall in my life, my paintings weren't selling, my teaching wasn't going anywhere and an advertisement came through my door which read, "Do you or anyone else you know like to cook and hold parties?". I was... "Yeah, me". So applied for it. I expected to win and didn't, but in retrospect I think coming 4th was a good thing as there is a comedy element to it, its better then coming 2nd.

This reignited a passion for Television, I've had huge amounts of ideas for shows throughout the year, and have had some real breakthroughs with them. Some of them have been taken really seriously, but none have made it to the commissioning stage (yet).
